Our sales departments are open at both locations. Sales appointments are encouraged to help us provide safer environments and better customer experiences as we follow health and safety guidelines. To comply with the Executive Order of the Governor, all customers must also wear a mask and maintain at least 6 feet from other people at all times. Sales support is also available online and by phone.

We can safely work with you at our dealerships, at your home, or at your place of business. We want you to feel confident, be comfortable, and most importantly, be safe.

My dear Customers,

I realize that we are all experiencing extraordinary changes in our lives as we face the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. These are unprecedented challenges that have complicated everyday life and defined trying times for everyone. However, it appears we are all determined to get through this. We will get through this. It is so important for us all to keep safe, protect our health, and show kindness to one another. So many of our customers have inquired about the changes we are experiencing as a business and I truly appreciate the concern and heartfelt messages. As we all navigate through change, I remain dedicated to keeping my customers and employees informed.
We are experiencing changes in our retail sales business. We've had to make some major changes to our retail operations in accordance with Governor Cuomo's executive order, "New York State on PAUSE" to help assure uniform safety for everyone. Although our showroom is currently closed, sales support is available to you online and by phone.
If you would like to chat with someone in the sales department, explore inventory, or complete steps in purchasing a new or pre-owned vehicle, members of our sales team are dedicated to working with you from home. A Message from Kitty Van Bortel

At Van Bortel Subaru, taking care of our customers is at the center of everything we do. While we navigate through times of uncertainty and change, I want you to know that nothing is more important than the health and safety of our customers, employees, and vendors.
We have implemented extra precautionary measures that have been recommended by public health officials to help prevent the spread of illness. I want to share with you the actions we are taking to ensure best practices and safe environments that give our employees and customers peace of mind in all of the Van Bortel dealerships.
Keeping Ourselves Healthy and Informed
We are committed to keeping our employees informed and educated in order to maintain the safest operating environment possible. We've taken steps to educate all dealership staff on ways to keep healthy and protect ourselves from COVID-19 as recommended by local, state, and national public health authorities.
We are closely monitoring the health of our staff and enforcing the policy of staying home if feeling ill. Likewise, if customers are experiencing illness, we ask that they also stay home.
Higher Standards for Maintaining Clean and Safe Environments
While we always strive to maintain the highest standards when it comes to cleaning and maintaining our dealerships, we've taken things further by enhancing our cleaning procedures in our facilities, our vehicles, and our customers' vehicles.
We are committed to extensive cleaning and increased frequency of disinfecting procedures for all high-touch areas in all dealership facilities including the showrooms, service centers, waiting areas, parts centers, offices, employee areas, and restrooms. This includes sanitizing door handles, countertops, tables, armrests, seatbacks, hand-rails, sinks, faucets, bathroom doors, and other frequently touched surfaces. Our team members are even wiping down credit card readers, pens, office equipment, phones, computers, personal electronic devices, and other frequently handled items.
We are also committed to extensive cleaning and increased frequency of disinfecting procedures for all high-touch areas in all vehicles including new and used vehicles, loaner vehicles, and of course, our customers' vehicles. This includes wiping down keys and key fobs, interior and exterior door handles, steering wheels, push to start buttons, wiper and turn signal controls, gear shift knobs and handles, glove boxes, seatbelt components, rearview mirrors, and emergency brake handles.
